Senior pet health checks

As we age our health care needs change and it is the same for your pet.

Most pets are considered senior at seven – eight years old. Many aspects of your pet’s daily routine such as exercise and nutritional needs will change as your pet gets older. Sometimes subtle changes in health can go unnoticed; so regular check ups with your vet become important. We may recommend regular blood tests or other routine diagnostic testing to assess your senior pet’s health. These can help us monitor thyroid or kidney function changes for example, and start any treatment before health problems arise. For older pets we provide the best senior care in St Helens.
